* HOW THE PTC SWITCH WORKS: the PTC switch interrupts the flow of current when excessive voltage or a fault condition is detected within the circuit. The PTC then switches into a high-resistance protective mode. It will auto reset only after it has cooled and the fault condition has been corrected.
