BNC - TWIST ON CONNECTOR

Connecting audio and video devices may require a special BNC connector when using Bulk RG59/U cable to build your own cable. Creating professional custom length cables for your security camera system is simple and easy.

This type of BNC Connector does not require a special tool, however we do suggest using a wire stripper for preparing the wire

Strip cable as shown being careful not to nick the center conduction or the outer braid

Twist the outer braid in a clockwise direction so that at least 1/32" of the cable dielectric is bared, and the braid is left flat. Stray or loose braid wires can be trimmed back

Gently insert the center conductor into the back of the BNC Twist-On Connector using the center guide hole. If the center conductor is not properly in place, about 1/8" of center conduct will show at the back end. Reinsert until the cable dielectric reaches the position shown in the diagram

Next, push the cable firmly into place as far as possible. Then Twist the connector onto the cable in a clockwise direction until it stops. Assembly is now completed for one cable end.
